Soak our sharpening stone in water for 5 minutes, then place it on a stable surface such as a table or desk. Use the #400 grit side for coarse grinding at a 10-30 degree angle, pushing the knife out with force and then gently retracting for approximately 15 minutes. Next, switch to the #1000 grit side for fine grinding, which takes about 10 minutes. After sharpening, wipe the whetstone with a wet cloth or rinse with water, then dry it.
